India
Currently Broken Arrow provides partial support for Brother A. Visweswara. Brother V’s father was converted by JC Bailey a Canadian preacher who was one of the first to bring the gospel to India. He became a preacher and Brother V has followed in his footsteps.
Brother V preaches at both the Arikirevula congregation and the Kovvor congregation and holds many evangelistic meetings and preacher lectureships, teaching preachers in the local area to minister to their communities. He is also the director of the
Bill & Sharon Paxton Children’s Home in Arikirevula. Bro V has developed a Christian Charitable Society in which he cares for approximately 40 widowed ladies.
This year the congregation at Arikirevula raised money for a television ministry. Brother V tapes the programs and they are aired every Sunday morning. The weekly program reaches 81 villages and 6 districts, approximately 140,000 people regularly watch the program.
The churches at Kovvur and Arikirevula are both active and growing. The congregation in Kovvur averages 55 in attendance, with eight new converts in 2008. The congregation in Arikirevula averages 155 in attendance, with five conversions for the year. Both congregations support their own programs and assist Brother V with his evangelistic outreach.
