Scott Keele
What a pleasure it is to work and serve with this family of believers. My desire is to serve our heavenly Father and this church in a manner that will be fruitful in all of our lives. And in essence, this is not a place to "work." It is a place to grow. We are growing closer to the Lord together. We are striving to place Jesus at the center of our hearts and lives for the purpose of glorifying God the Father.
I was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Bill and Kay Keele. My father and mother have spent their lives glorifying God through fulltime church work... so I grew up a PK (preacher's kid). We then moved to Arkansas during my preschool years and then to Fort Worth. From Fort Worth, we moved to Dallas where I graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. After high school (and a summer spent in Plainview, Texas) I attended and graduated from Oklahoma Christian with a degree in Religious Education. Upon Graduation, I accepted the Minister of Education position here with this church family in January 1987. Yes, that is not a typo... it is an honor to continue serving the Lord with this church for over 22 years. During this time, my job description has evolved to many things... Teaching and Learning, Kids Kare, Worship Planning, and Iron Sharpens Iron (an Adult Bible Teacher Training Experience) to name a few. With this expanded roll, my title has changed as well and is now Associate Minister.
This coming December, my wife, Kim and I will celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. Our son, Addison (19) is a Missions Major at Harding University and enjoys music as a hobby. Our daughter Hailey (17) enjoys art, especially in the form of drawing and painting. Our daughter Macy (6) enjoys life... including her best friend Kate.
A special emphasis you will find here within this body of believers is an importance placed on family, relationships, God's Will and connecting all of these together through our worship and service to Him. May our lives glorify God in all that we do and all that we are!
