The ministry goal is to share God's word and Jesus' love with fellow Christians and the community through service and example by tending to their immediate needs as Jesus did; Matthew 25:31-40; Romans 12:13; Galatians 6:10. An effort is made to expose the community to the local church and create a contact list for future outreach. The Broken Arrow community is more aware of the presence of the church and love of Christ through this effort. The ministry provides members an opportunity to use time and talent to serve God and neighbors.

The Clothing Room openings are updated regularly here. The Clothing Room is on south side of the Outreach Center in 700 block of N 4th St.

The Clothing Room is open on a quarterly basis at a minimum; often, openings are more frequent than quarterly.  People from the Broken Arrow community are encouraged to come and "shop" during the openings.  Clothing that has been donated to the church is given away at no cost.

SCHEDULES FOR WORK DAYS

Every Wednesday & Thursday
10:00am – 12:00pm on Wednesdays
9:00am – 12:00pm on Thursdays

We take a week off for vacation in the summer, the week of Thanksgiving and the month of December.

Work days are also Donation Days.  Donations will be received and sorted.  Work is done on a volunteer basis and you are welcome any day that you can help.  We appreciate any time that you can work. 

INFO FOR OPENING DAYS

We ask a representative of each family to sign in so that we will be able to send a card telling them of our next opening.

Quantities are limited to 5 Wal Mart Size bags per individual.  MUST use our bags!  If an individual is shopping for children at home, they receive one 5 pack of bags per child for which they are shopping.  Numbers are given to one person in each group and must be presented to enter Clothing Room when called.

On opening days we assist shoppers as needed by removing clothes from hangers (we keep our hangers), folding and bagging clothes in a bag labeled with shopper's name.  This can be done while they are shopping and it helps to simplify the congestion.  Workers also assist with crowd control, removing empty hangers from the racks, picking up clothing off the floor, straightening racks, shelves and tables, helping people find their size or clothing for which they are looking, etc.  There is no public restroom.

Each shopper is welcome to a Bible, either English or Hispanic, and pamphlets about the Church of Christ.  There may be other handouts periodically.

If you are volunteering the day of the opening, please try and be there between 8:30am and 8:45am.
