Rhoades Elementary

Our partnership with Rhoades Elementary is an effort to be involved with this local elementary school, showing the love and care of Christ both to students and staff while creating an awareness of the location of, and hospitality of, the local church. Members are encouraged to be involved through interaction with children and their families in a variety of ways, parties, mentoring, tutoring, etc. Relationships are built with school staff through test monitoring, teacher appreciation, tutoring and special events. Our facility is always open to Rhoades & we are anxious to accommodate their needs, offering  our facility for their annual talent show, after school event, teachers meeting, etc.

We partner with the Summer Food Service Program (USDA) , serving breakfast & lunch to the neighborhood children each summer. We operate New Heights Summer Camp for eight weeks each summer, giving Rhoades families priority. Activities include Bible, reading, math, PE, computer, art, science, & special presentations. Volunteers are needed to help plan and implement the program. If you are interested in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, reading, playing with children or a variety of other activities involved in the learning process, we need you! There is also plenty of need, preparing and serving for the food program.
