Scott Keele

My name is Scott Keele, and I have served at the Broken Arrow church for 39 years. I graduated from Oklahoma Christian College in December 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Education and was hired at the Broken Arrow church as the Minister of Education in January 1987. In 2007, my title transitioned to Associate Minister.

My primary role at the church is our Teaching and Learning Ministry, where I plan, coordinate, and implement our Bible classes from our youngest to our oldest. My ministry also includes leading our Kids Kare Mother’s Day Out and Preschool program, VBS, mission trips to places including Ukraine, Cambodia, India, and Greece, and providing biblical counseling. In addition, the church has supported my service as a Police and Fire Chaplain for the City of Broken Arrow for the past 31 years.

Because of my many years here, I have had the opportunity to work side-by-side with this church family, and we have truly become family. The relationships are deep and meaningful as we grow together in Christ through all of life’s different ups and downs. I have been blessed to witness generations of Christians faithfully serving together.

I was raised in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas. I began college in the fall of 1983, and in December of that year, I married Kim, my high school sweetheart! We have three amazing adult children. Our son Addison and his wife, Masha, have two incredible daughters, and Addison serves as the Youth and Family Minister at the Netherwood Park Church of Christ in Albuquerque. Our daughter Hailey and her husband, Gib, have two amazing daughters, and Hailey is a stay-at-home mom in Houston. Our daughter Macy and her husband, Avery, are students at OSU in Stillwater. Macy also has two fun-loving cats.

I love spending time with my family, including my four amazing granddaughters—with one more grandchild on the way! I love to travel, try new restaurants, watch sports, and play games. If you love games, we will probably get along great! And LEGOs are fun!

One of my favorite passages is John 16:33. Jesus said it. I needed to hear it. I want to share it:

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world!”
